    The GSE Maintenance Utility Employee assists and supports mechanics to service and turn ground support equipment to help assure timely repairs. This MUE1 maintains the physical condition and upkeep of equipment/facilities to ensure the ration is compliant with all Delta policies and provides a safe work environment. They utilize appropriate detergents, solutions, and equipment to effectively and efficiently accomplish shop, GSE-related functions, such as parts transportation, parts cleaning, preparation of parts for painting/processing, parts, and equipment touch-up painting, shop and facilities cleaning. Requires outside work. Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures such as lock out tag out (LOTO). The MUE1 will also assist in the baggage handling system with the movement of baggage tubs, staffing the manual encoding stations, and clearing of baggage system bag jams.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

  • Must be able to comprehend and apply information contained in technical documents and manuals.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including fixed or rotating shifts, both indoors and outdoors, including traveling, overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must be able to pass an extensive criminal background check (all information provided will be verified).

  • Must meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions.

  • Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for a U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
