Delta Air Lines, Inc. Job Scheduler - CNTL-M in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Delta Air Lines is seeking a Job Scheduler with advanced experience using CNTL-M distributed scheduling system.


Set up/monitor batch jobs/schedules across various operating system platforms and business application environments using CNTL-M.

Set up job documentation, run on request jobs, restart/rerun jobs, monitor CNTL-M, approve/reject ServiceNow requests.

Work with vendors to identify problems, install fixes, control modules, new releases.

On call 24x7 coverage support.

Interacts with customers and outsourcing partners to build key relationships.

Assist team members to solve problems, make innovative improvements and make decisions, work in a fast paced environment.

Ensures delivery of service level agreements.

Make decisions that reflect the best interest of the company.

Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with three (3) or more years of IT and/or scheduling experience, or any equivalent combination of experience, education.

CNTL-M Distributed scheduling system V8 or V9 (preferred).

Experience with installing and configuring CNTL-M version 9 a plus.

High skill level with UNIX, Linux, Windows operating systems.

CNTL-M agent configuration.

CNTL-M configuration manager.

Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and manage change requests.

Problem, change management tool such as Service Now.


IBM MVS z/OS knowledge is a plus.

Mainframe CNTL-M, and ESP scheduling systems.

ChangeMan, Filemaster, Jobscan, JCL UNIX Shell scripting.

Report distribution systems, EOS, or TRMS.
