Thank you for your interest in joining our Customer Service Team in Liberia, Costa Rica as a Part-Time Customer Service Agent.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates are responsible for having any work permits or visas necessary to work in Costa Rica at the time of submitting an application. Delta will be responsible for identifying the work documentation requirements or for advising the applicant on the steps required for obtaining such documentation.

As a member of our ground crew, you will work in an enjoyable team environment. The position involves a variety of functions and employees are required to be familiar with all of the following work functions: Ticket Counter Representative, Gate Agent, Baggage Handler and Ramp Operator. All employees practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Ticket Counters/Gate Agents:

Responsible for checking-in passengers, guiding customers through the ticketing & reservations process, directing them to their gate and helping to ensure their bags meet them when they arrive.

Ramp Operators/Baggage Handlers:

Responsible for lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft. Duties also include operating ground support equipment such as tugs, conveyor belts and tow tractors.

As part of our Customer Service Agent team, you can expect to work 20-35 hours per week. This position could be the perfect entry-level position and could eventually allow you to apply for other Delta Air Lines positions. The benefits include flight privileges and working flexible schedules.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must possess a High School Diploma

  • Must be in possession of valid documentation to live and work in Costa Rica at the time of applying to this position. Delta does not sponsor.

  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish

  • Must demonstrate attendance reliability

  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs

  • Must be able to provide quality customer service

  • Must be able to work at heights of over 15 ft

  • Must be willing/able to work both indoors and outdoors at any time during the year

  • Possession of a valid Costa Rican Driver's License preferred.

  • Must be performing satisfactorily in current position

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Customer Service experience is strongly preferred.

  • Airline operations experience is a plus.
