Delta is on a journey to become a world-class retailer, changing the way we sell and service flight and ancillary products to improve the overall customer experience. Delta’s Retail Strategy is focused on dynamically manufacturing products, offering the most relevant product to customers in their channel of choice, and servicing those products when plans change. The Enterprise Solutions (ES) team is seeking a Product Manager to lead the vision and execution of IT development roadmaps that support this Retail Strategy. We are hiring for various roles within our organization. See below for additional information on each.

Offer Management Product Manager

• Set the vision for transitioning away from legacy airline-centric processes in the offer workflow

• Enable speed to market by building flexible offer management workflows, with a single source of information

• Orchestration of personalized, contextual product offerings

Seat Offer Product Manager

• Create a foundation that delivers an omni-channel experience for ancillary product offers, initial focus on seats

• Lead expansion of ancillary product offers to new internal channels and across partner airlines and systems

• Coordination of product offerings through the complete life cycle across multiple systems and channels

Servicing Product Manager

• Create a strategy that communicates and tracks paid value that meets the needs of both the airline and the 3rd party seller

• Define how to support the transition from an airline centric ticketing process to order

• Enable speed to market by building flexible servicing workflows

• Drives and enables consistent servicing outcomes for customers across all channels (internal and external)

A successful candidate is motivated by solving problems, exhibiting curiosity to understand current processes, and can think creatively to identify solutions. They lead their IT teams to execute on roadmaps which reflect development required to support new products and changes to existing products. The Product Managers work across business units to ensure requirements are well understood across the enterprise, gain cross-divisional consensus on priorities, ensure deliverables meet business needs, while balancing long term flexibility and speed to market.

Responsibilities:

• Act as product owner for agile development teams.

• Formulate the business vision of the products and translate the vision into technical requirements.

• Build an executable product roadmap that balances business value, timing needs, and development complexity.

• Be primary commercial point of contact to facilitate development requests.

• Understand how the Retail system fits into the broader commercial picture.

• Collaborate with other agile development teams to understand relationships and dependencies between teams.

• Ensure IT development properly leverages backend mechanisms and achieves desired business goal.

• Work collaboratively and cross divisionally to ensure the system meets the needs of internal and third party consumers.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • At least 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience in a Product Manager or related role.

  • Proven success in understanding and managing complex processes.

  • Experience translating a business vision into written technical requirements.

  • Ability to communicate clearly to business leaders and technical developers.

  • Must have the ability to work well with diverse groups in a team environment with minimal supervision.

  • Results oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines with attention to detail and follow through.

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree with preferred major in quantitative discipline such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Engineering.

  • Understanding of data modeling and modern software architecture styles.

  • Experience in at least one commercial or operations function such as Reservations, ACS, eCommerce, Revenue Management, Sales or IT preferred.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment as a Product Manager/Owner.
