How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Project Manager will support IFS strategy, working to support the execution of critical In-Flight business projects and initiatives. This person will also work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across IFS to promote a safety-first culture and continuously improve both the customer and employee experience. This role requires strong communication skills, extensive project management experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment in close collaboration with internal partners. This newly expanded IFS PMO team reflects IFS’s ambition to integrate and optimize project management across all IFS teams. We are looking for an individual with a passion for people, process, and impact to support this important work managing large, complex projects within IFS and cross-divisionally.

  • Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to increase effectiveness, efficiency and organizational alignment across IFS

  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to communicate strategic project plans, outline goals and progress, and gather input and approvals

  • Provide regular status reports to stakeholders, sponsors and others involved in the project

  • Serve as a champion for understanding and infusing flight attendant perspectives to ensure initiatives are implemented and communicated thoughtfully and strategically

  • Anticipate challenges and roadblocks - planning appropriately to mitigate risks as needed with strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities

  • Create executive level presentations and help inform communications plans

  • Manage all phases of large project

  • Run Stakeholder interviews, set team roles and expectations, set project communication standards, establish shared document repository and comms channels

  • Facilitate project accountability meetings, establish schedule, develop communication plan and assist with stakeholder communication and training

  • Monitor project progression against plan, identify issues and work to resolve, facilitate decision-making, deliver regular status reports and work as needed to amend planning documents

  • Facilitate project post-mortem with project leadership and key stakeholders, document final project plan with lessons learned, support business leads with post-project survey feedback collection

  • Regular status reports as well as executive presentations

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Must have excellent data analytics skills – able to pull together and combine data from disparate sources to analyze and summarize into recommendations and actions

  • Must have excellent cross-organization problem resolution and communication skills

  • Should have highly proficient PC skills including advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point

  • Must have a proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs

  • Must be detail-oriented, meet deadlines and exhibit excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Must have a proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective

  • Perform with a high level of accuracy and able to work in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrate personal initiative and can multi-task to meet deadlines

  • Have excellent written and oral communications skills and be able to communicate effectively to multiple different audiences

  • Ability to work with flight attendants as well as all levels of leadership within and outside of the In-Flight Service division

  • Potential to develop a vision, strategy, and objectives for a team and easily work with peers to accomplish objectives

  • Strong team player, detail oriented, and perform well under pressure
