How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Project Manager for Crew Mod is responsible for managing the full design life cycle (from scope
to integration) of re-platforming the existing Crew System. This will move the existing mainframe
solution to a cloud ready architecture. The existing Crew Operating System (DBMS) provides 11
capabilities (Scheduling, Training, Payroll, Planning, Bid/Award, Reroute, Jumpseat, Communications,
Accommodations, Legalities) to support our Pilots and Flight Attendants. The position reports to the
Manager of Crew Strategy and Process, and will partner with other divisions (including IT, Finance,
IFS, FOP, OCC, OAP, ODS, HR, Corporate Security) to drive the desirable operational efficiency through
new and existing tools.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the strategic roadmap and tactical plans for all crew resources technology systems, ensuring cross-divisional coordination and prioritization of resources, funding and deliverables
Coach and mentor junior leaders, and those aspiring to be leaders on the team
Analyze customer needs and work with IT to deliver business driven solutions
In partnership with IT and Crew Resources departments, lead the development and implementation of Crew Resources IT modernization
Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple workstreams
Develop subject matter expertise for crew resources related data and systems
Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch
Liaise with IT and Finance on IT Capital planning and prioritization, balancing short- and long-term priorities
Must effectively communicate and update roadmap planning, incorporating senior leadership and cross-divisional feedback coupled with changing needs of the business
Ensure alignment of priorities with IFS and FOP division and IT teams
Promotion of safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience, along with previous leadership experience

Strong leadership skills, presentation skills, written and oral communication skills, positive attitude and able to manage change successfully in a fast-paced environment
Must be strategic, dynamic, detail-oriented and impactful. The ideal candidate should be an analytical thinker, self-starter and quick learner

Must have prior experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from large budget initiatives to smaller end-to-end projects
Required to coach and deliver feedback for developmental purposes

Proven track record of successfully working in a cross-departmental team environment, delivering results on time and on budget
Must have strong business acumen and must have excellent communication skills with senior management, employees, FAA Reps, union officials, vendors, customers

Must be open to feedback from, and prioritize the needs of, a diverse set of stakeholders
Demonstrable experience with conflict resolution, problem solving and have the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy

Must demonstrate the ability to lead, manage, and communicate to all levels within the organization
Must have the flexibility and availability to travel, as well as to perform periodic after-hours and weekend work

Must be performing satisfactorily in current position

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Technology or equivalent work
experience in airline operations required
