How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

Pilot Staffing Modeling

  • Support the GM, Pilot Resources in modeling long-term pilot supply/demand

  • Suggest and execute modeling improvements for improving reliability, auditability, and forecasting accuracy of staffing model

  • Support monthly Advanced Entitlement setup & execution

  • Coordinate cross-company to ensure all necessary parties are informed of pilot staffing plans within their planning horizons

  • Become SME on Jeppesen Manpower Planning application, identifying & executing opportunities to use the application to improve pilot staffing performance

Data Analysis

  • Support GM, Pilot Resources and broader Crew Resources organization with data analysis

  • Become a trusted source of pulling, analyzing, and communicating findings across all varieties of data, including staffing, performance, bidding, rotations, vacation, LOA, training, etc.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to use data to improve company performance and maintain contractual compliance, and either execute or champion those initiatives through completion

Crew Resources Team Support

  • Support the Pilot Crew Resources team with handling inbound pilot questions, vacation, LOA, staffing, contractual compliance, etc.

  • In collaboration with the team, identify & execute opportunities to use automation to increase accuracy, increase speed of delivery, and improve team quality of life

  • Create/manage automated data feeds to/from dependent systems

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • 5y+ experience data analytics/modeling

  • *

5y+ experience in coding languages

  • Experience working cross divisionally in matrixed organization, influencing change

  • *

Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities

  • Experience presenting & interacting with senior leaders

  • *

Experience communicating complex topics simply to all levels

  • Accountability for decisions and work products

  • *

Ability to grow skills in others, drive a culture of learning & growth

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • *

Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Experience with: SAS, SQL, Python, VBA

  • Experience with DBMS

  • Airline experience, Flight Operations experience, Crew Resources experience

  • Familiarity with Delta Pilot Working Agreement Contract

  • Exposure to Jeppesen Manpower Planning
