Delta Air Lines Human Resources team is in the midst of a multi-year HR transformation. We are looking for a Manager of Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) Health and Wellness (H&W) who will manage all aspects of health and welfare service delivery. The Manager will manage all team members within the health & welfare operational area including those dedicated to ERISA appeals; provide coaching and developmental feedback; ensure performance and productivity; and invest in the development of expertise and skills of the team.

The Lead Program Manager – HRSD H&W serves as overall subject matter expert of all health and welfare programs offered by Delta including all processes, procedures, and policies.

Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):

  • Identifies trends in service failures and recommends the appropriate course of action for improvement.

  • Responsible for the measurement of vendor performance and adherence to contractual requirements.

  • Demonstrates ability to review and analyze data, trends and issues to resolve challenges in a timely manner.

  • Proactively educates internal and external customers on Delta Air Lines policies and procedures as it pertains to the roles & responsibilities of the vendor and the attributes of the plans.

  • Ensures company compliance across all business units.

  • Responsible for the oversight and management of any data issues related to H&W, ensuring they are handled appropriately by providing direction as needed.

  • Responsible for the oversight and management of all ERISA appeals; responsible for the sub-committee; and oversees the end-to-end process of all appeals to the Administrative Comm.

  • Responsible for the development and administration of Open Enrollment (OE).

  • Supports the development of OE headquarters.

  • Looks for new ways to communicate and engage participants as eligible benefits continue to evolve and become more complex.

  • Responsible for the ongoing administration and reporting of all Affordable Care Act governmental reporting.

  • Coordinates federal reporting across Delta & all subsidiaries within the control group.

  • Develops training and educational materials and trains internal resources including field HR and the Employee Service Center (ESC) regarding H&W process and policy.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; an MBA is preferred.

  • Should have at least 5 years of experience leading an HR team operations in a Domestic and/or International capacity, preferably in an H&W capacity.

  • Must be a self-starter who takes full accountability for performance and requires minimum supervision.

  • Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

  • Must have the ability to work with all levels of leadership.

  • Must be able to be responsible for analysis, strategy and crafting innovative solutions and able to work under tight deadlines and time constraints.

  • Must possess proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and extensive experience within SAP HCM preferred.

  • Must be able to handle highly confidential materials and issues effectively.

  • Must possess ability to effectively interact with a variety of individuals within the company, clients, carriers, and vendor organizations.

  • Should possess an overall knowledge of company policies and procedures.

  • Must possess time management skills, multi-tasking skills, project management skills and organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Should be able to travel when required.

  • Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
