Delta Air Lines, Inc. Manager, Cargo America's Revenue Management in Atlanta, Georgia
The Manager of Cargo Flight Management will oversee pricing and optimization of flights to Latin, Pacific and Domestic. The manger will establish best processes/tools to optimize coordination between Cargo groups (Sales and DoD) as well as oversight of RM cargo from forward strategy through post departure performance. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly driven manager with a strong track record of results who is willing to take on the challenge of a diverse, complex and multifaceted role that spans many areas of the Cargo organization.
Maximize revenue on flights by optimizing price, product, customer and/or O&D mix through flight management tools
Optimize fleet capabilities through proper build-up and density management
Establish best processes to optimize coordination between cargo groups (Sales and DoD).
Oversight of cargo performance lifecycle (planning, staging, and post departure performance reviews)
Oversee allocation performance based on customer utilization, seasonal trends and sellable capacity
Develop overbooking strategies to account for no-show, cancellations, and un-constrain demand utilizing re-routable cargo products
Review and share capacity utilization, no-show, cancellations and off-load performance
Creation and presentation of performance reports and business case analysis, in executive level presentations with cargo commercial teams
Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
College degree or five years of management experience required.
A revenue management background with experience in cargo strongly desired.
Should have a documented history of successful project management and supervisory experience.
Requires highly developed analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex problems and develop and implement innovative solutions.
Must possess a strong technical background in an area directly related to revenue management.
Must possess highly developed presentation skills and be capable of influencing, through the use of data, large groups of internal or external audiences.
Strong oral, written and listening skills required.
Negotiation skills highly desired. Must have proven skills to develop high performing teams through effective leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
Must be able to build consensus and obtain buy-in across divisions and with external customers.
Ability to interact, influence and present to senior leadership
Must be highly motivated, proactive leader and have an ability to implement change
Must demonstrate the ability to influence internal and external organizations to achieve corporate goals, including the ability to influence and manage upward as necessary
