Delta Air Lines, Inc. DMS Product Line Manager in Atlanta, Georgia
The DMS Product Line Manager will be responsible for managing multiple engine product lines via sourcing, pricing, purchasing, supporting sales and overall maximization of DMS engine inventory to fulfill business demands.
This position requires a strong technical and commercial knowledge of engine components, repairs, current market values, and familiarity with the competitive landscape. The ability to manage relationships within Delta Air Lines Technical Operations (TechOps) and its alliance partners in order to achieve shared financial success is critical to this role.
This position is based in Atlanta and will report to the VP, Surplus Procurement
Capture market intelligence for inventory availability and pricing
Identify future demand for Delta Air Lines, Alliance Partners and the global market place
Assist in the identification and procurement of engine inventory to meet internal and external demands and maintain twelve month rolling forecasts
Work closely with the acquisition team to source and procure engine teardown candidates that will assist in meeting engine component demand
Develop and maintain engine teardown purchase models
Provide guidance and pricing methodology for engine and component acquisitions in support DMS sales campaigns
Produce engine inventory listings to support sales campaigns
Identify engine components that require repair/overhaul investment to maximize financial returns
Expand trading relationships with airlines, lessors, MROs and OEMs. This includes working closely with inventory management to develop repetitive engine teardown, repair and program agreements
Support the business in meeting inventory turn requirements by working closely with the sales team that may include trading inventories
Ensure collaboration and leveraging the sourcing strategy with Delta Air Lines Supply Chain Management organization
Deliver cost saving/value added solutions to the overall supply chain in an effort to reduce CASM for Delta Air Lines
Bachelor's degree plus at least 5 years of relevant aviation industry work experience required; or MBA with at least 3 years relevant aviation industry experience required; or with no degree, must have a minimum of relevant work experience required.
Experience with and understanding the technical aspects of engines, technical data and able to conduct research and analysis.
Significant knowledge of external markets for the procurement of engine related inventory.
Possess a strong business acumen including problem solving, analytical skills and data analysis
Proficient in the use of SAP, Salesforce. Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
