Delta Air Lines Human Resources team is in the midst of a multi-year HR transformation. We are looking for a Director of Human Resources Data Management to focus on HR Service Delivery activities. This role will be integral in providing cohesive and cross-matrixed delivery of all People focused HR systems. Initially the primary focus will be to build a unified data model and project plan to transition the organization from SAP on premise to Success Factors Employee Central. Then the focus will shift to ongoing innovation to ensure Delta’s Technology enables cutting edge HR service Delivery. This will be accomplished by guiding an experienced Team of HR leaders in the creation of a data services delivery model which includes our Core People systems (e.g., Employee Data Management, Dependent Management, Payroll, Time). This role will be a cross between strategy and operations to drive people, process, and technology performance.
Establish a data centric service delivery model to support all areas of Human Resources to materialize synergies and improve current operations finding ways to reduce silos and enhance efficiencies.
Develop a unified data model across all people systems including employee, dependent, contingent, and retiree that includes and utilizes both structured and unstructured data.
Develop and implement project plan to transition the organization from SAP on premise to Success Factors Employee Central
Drive the increased use of industry wide master data management best practices
Lead an experienced Team to build new capabilities and find synergies across and between all People focused systems and service providers to work in a more agile and flexible delivery model.
Develop yearly strategies, with close collaboration with HR System Tower Leads, to identify, prioritize and seek approval for programs directed at driving increased business performance (e.g., business case development, Sr. Leader positioning, and COE roadmap creation).
Design programs for scale, merit, and executive level consumption developing process, technology, and people components in delivery.
Develop and maintain close relationship with Technology Leaders, acting as a multi-level escalation point for issues and mitigations for daily operations.
Understand dependencies and cross-matrix impacts for all People focused systems operations.
Partner with the HRIS and IT teams to continuously look for process improvements in processes to effectively support business operations and end-user needs.
Enable and influence the timely and successful delivery of People focused HR systems daily operations with limited outages.
This role is accountable for complex project management completion including large project teams with members in various locations and time zones, multiple stakeholders, and significant impacts to systems and processes.
Develops both strategic & tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety & well-being.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or equivalent with at least 10+ years of work experience.
Must have experience with selection, implementation and management of HR technologies, vendor management, HR data management and HR analytics, complex project management and people management.
Requires the proficiency level of an experienced leader with significant work experience and demonstrated successes, typically attained with a minimum of 10 years of progressive responsibility,preferably in a global company and/or highly matrixed organization, in related areas including vendor management, systems and applications management, data analytics, organizing and leading project work, selection and implementation of technology.
Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, set priorities, allocate resources and manage several complex projects simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment to deliver on time and within budget.
Strong functional HR process and practice acumen and technical aptitude.
Demonstrated ability to transform business requirements into system improvements that ultimately advance the initiatives of the enterprise.
Strong and effective written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with and influence team members and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience with process re-engineering,improvement, and development.
Knowledgeable in both incremental system upgrades and large scale implementations with SAP based systems.
Requires high people skills in order to influence, collaborate, motivate, and above all drive timely and effective results.
