How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The DMS Program Manager is a full-time position that will be responsible for leading supplier RFP's, negotiations and supplier selection for Delta MRO projects. The program manager will work closely with DMS peers, leadership and other departments or stakeholders to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule. The Program Manager will also monitor supplier performance and lead corrective action procedures, when necessary, participate in key supplier and MRO business meetings, identify and participate in process improvement opportunities related to surplus procurement programs and processes, and maintain relationships with third party providers of surplus material. The program manager will help to identify future demand requirements for Delta Airlines, deliver cost savings and value-added solutions to reduce Delta Air Lines overall material cost expenditures. This position is based in Atlanta, GA and will report to the Director– Surplus Procurement

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Demonstrated success in problem solving, analytical skills and data analysis.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communications.

  • Applicant must be proficient with MS Excel, Outlook and SAP.

  • Proficiency with Tableau and Salesforce desirable.

  • Self-starter and strong team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently from multiple stakeholders under strict deadlines.

  • Works with integrity and professionalism, always showing respect for others and a drive toward continuous improvement.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or equivalent required PLUS at least 3 - 5 years of related work experience in an aviation field such as procurement or supply chain.
