About Delta Cargo
Much as Delta Air Lines helps passengers reach their destinations, the Cargo division serves companies in the safe and efficient transport of a wide range of freight, including everything from mail to live animals and life-saving pharmaceuticals.
Different departments in the Cargo division provide rate information, sell cargo space in the belly of Delta’s passenger aircraft, track & trace freight and resolve customer problems. Additionally, they safely move cargo from a warehouse location to airport ramp areas and ensure proper delivery onto the appropriate aircraft.
About Cargo Commercial
The Cargo Commercial team includes Global Sales, Product, Marketing/Communications, Sales Development, and Market Performance
The Delta Cargo team is seeking one co-op for the Commercial Sales team for a total of three full-time rotations based in Atlanta, GA (Fall 2023, Summer 2024, and Spring 2025).
Sales
Overall function and role:
· Assist Sales leaders and Account Managers located at hubs across Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin and North America.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
· Sales Territories: Assist the sales team in analyzing account value and maintaining customer hierarchy and account assignments
· Revenue Reports: Develop and generate reports and tools used by the sales team to maximize revenue - Sales Blitz: Help to develop sales blitz campaigns along with various conferences
· Sales Assistance: Assist the sales team with customer initiatives, flyers, and information sheets
· Accounting process integration: Audit errors that result in billing discrepancies and identify trends to work with the project team to prevent errors upfront
· Sales and Revenue Management Assistance: Assist the sales team with customer initiatives, invitations, flyers, and information sheets
· Customer Experience: Manage events and promotional items
· Manage marketing invoice system
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
· Full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution
· At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
· Must be available for 3 alternating semesters: Fall 2023, Summer 2024, Spring 2025
· Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the Co-op
· Candidate is team-oriented and highly supportive of continuous improvement methodologies
· Strong organizational, project management, problem solving skills, and verbal/written communication skills are essential
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Willingness/ability to learn new skills is required

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of basic functionality skills in Tableau, SAS, SQL Developer, and Microsoft Office applications.
