How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Pilot Resources Team is looking for a Co-Op to provide support in all areas of Crew Resources (but not limited to) administration of pilot leaves of absence, retirements, verification of outside flying, and new hires. The successful candidate will commit to a minimum of 3 rotations.
Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
Assists with pilot rotation and schedule updates and maintains DBMS data and personnel files.
Provides analysis/research for Crew Resources, OE training planning and scheduling strategic initiatives, and supports ALPA reporting.
Identifies required types of training for all pilots returning from leave status or awarded through an Advance Entitlement.
Provides customer service to pilots, Chief Pilot Offices, Labor Relations and ALPA by responding to inquiries sent to Crew Resources email and answering phone calls requesting category and staffing information.
Maintains accuracy and distributes pay protection to pilots. Ensures pilot assignment files and job codes are accurate. Keeper of pilots’ Vacation Training and Sick files (VTS) and processes all requests to block pilots’ schedules.
Ability to identify and create new or improved processes to support the changes in the operation. This role will assist in identifying manual processes, providing innovative and new ways of completing tasks to provide efficiencies in all areas of pilot resources and scheduling.
The individual will need to quickly familiarize within topics including the Pilot Working Agreement (PWA), Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), DBMS, SAP and OSS.
Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Students must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta, GA in line with the below schedule:
Spring, 2025 - 1st rotation
Fall 2025 - 2nd rotation
Summer 2026 - 3rd rotation
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Actively enrolled in an undergraduate program - Bachelor's degree in-progress
Good analytical and organizational skills strongly preferred.
Exposure to analytical/reporting software preferred.
Must have the ability to anticipate and plan for competing priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
Must be able to communicate with pilots regarding proprietary, confidential, legal, complex, or sensitive issues.
Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Must have working knowledge in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
High attention to detail is required to consistently maintain accurate personnel records affecting pay, job status, and benefits.
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
